I just have to add on this, but please take no offense.
Pete messaged me last week about 34 boxes of 10 gauge RST shells for $22 a box of 10 at Kittery trading post on Wednesday end of day. I called the store asked them to hold them for me till Friday at opening time (9am). Unfortunately no matter how I tried they would not hold them. The sales guy checked to see that they were still in the store, he also could not believe that they anyone made 2-7/8” 10 gauge lead shot shells. He confirmed that they were there and thought it would be very unlikely that anyone would be buying all 34 boxes. A arrived at 9:15 on Friday and all 34 boxes had been sold.
When people tell me about how expensive things are I just laugh, being in my 70’s I remember when;
- filling up my Motor cycle and not sending more than $2 per fill up
- a cheese pizza was $1.75
- I purchased my first house for 44k it just sold for just under 700K
- my new truck cost 62K
- I would buy Peters blue magic and AA for 3 to 4 box at the discount stores ( spags for you New Englanders)
- 10,000 yearly salary got you into the middle class. Now you get more than that on welfare.
So based on all that a 2.20 per shell for 10 gauge maybe is good news?

I’m surprised they wouldn’t let you pay with your card and let you pick up two days later !
