Thanks, Mark. We are just now home from the auction. It was very sparsely attended today (but plenty of bidder cards with the phone bank).

The barbecue was excellent -- almost worth the long drive up. I did manage to bring home an antique treasure, but it was a weird auction, not like others from recent memory. I guess all are unique.

Craig, and you other 8 gauge fans, it sure seems that the market is bringing the big guns out for sale. They seem to be coming out of the woodwork, as are the longer barreled guns. You guys are driving the market.

The buyers premium was 20% correct ? If that’s the case that GH 8 cost $9600 plus ship/tax . $9500-$10,000 for a fluid steel barreled 8 sounds pretty decent to me

17.5% if you pay cash. If it was an antique, I could pick it up and deliver it in September...just sayin' (I I could not shoot it for lack of shells)

They listed that gun as being made in 1925 I think but it’s a 1911 gun , so yeah paperwork would’ve been necessary .
