Tryon was a 'major/major' Parker dealer and distributor. When we copied the records for The Parker Story, one Tryon order ran for 11 pages in the Order Books. It could fairly be said they were the equivalent of an A & F in downtown Philadelphia. Interestingly, a fair number of 28 gauge Parkers went to Tryon's and to William Wagner & Son in downtown Washington, DC, that wound up on the Jersey and Maryland marshes in pursuit of railbirds.
