Tom - that’s just like the one I’m putting together with the straight stock I bought from Brian Dudley.
But mine will have both the SG and the PG for future generations to choose from… It’s going to be willed to my granddaughters.

I had purchased the gun for Kathy. With the BTFE and the PG she loved it and was learning to shoot with it. I had used her Q1 & Q2 barrels and BTFE coupled with my DT and SG back end for some of my VT bird hunting.

I will be sending both stocks to Geoffroy Gournet for engraving of the initial ovals with the following instructions.

Tom, yesterday's auction was a strange situation with "A rich man and his money are soon parted." I hesitate to use the word fool, but the price was a couple thousand too high for a 26" Repro. The previous posters' advice is well chosen. However, the pictured gun is beyond exceptional in features as well as wood.

Bill, I think the buyer may have been smitten with the Beavertail forearm, DT and Q1 and Q2 chokes. That combination is really hard to find. I have the same thing, but with the splinter forearm. Took me about 3 years of auction watching to find it. I did however pay far far less then what this gun sold for.
