I personally prefer a beaver tail on target guns and a splinter on hunting guns.

Like everything else in life, tastes change. There was a time when I wouldn’t give a second look for a beaver tail, vent rib gun. Now, that’s all I’m looking for.

My Skeeter .410 has 30" barrels. Should I cut 4 inches off the end to make it handier in the field?
