I was allowed to shoot a pair at Hausemanns with the 20 lifter you recently liquidated ! Nice experience

The best laid plans of "Men of the Gun" often fall astray. I WAS doing great in liquidating some things I haven't shot and putting the money into some hunting adventures. To be honest the last couple of years have been pretty depressing and rather boring.
I left the Southern with three nice but not expensive guns, a DH 32 inch on a 2 frame, a 20ga Trojan and a very cool Winchester 1892 in 25/20. Years ago I sold a nice DHE 30 inch vent rib trap gun and now that I've discovered using 7/8th in a 12 and a modest supply of reloading components I thought I might like another one. I've been shooting some 12's for years mostly factory stuff in a Stephan Grant hammer gun as a prefer the small bores.
August, Steve Barnet's step son brought a CHE vent rib gun to Hausmann's for me to look at. It left me cold however and I never even considered it. There was however a gun waiting in the wings that I asked him to bring with absolutely NO intention of buying. It's an AAHE on a 2 frame with 32 inch barrels. The grip cap is engraved Bay City MI Dr R Ballard and below that is C. Middleton.
Now begins the search for information on Dr. Ballard and Mr. Middleton.
Oh the gun is an absolute dream. Maybe August will sell some more stuff before my hunt in Texas this fall.....that or I might have to go back to work
