Harold for clay targets in my 12ga guns I use a 3/4oz load exclusively. For wild birds I use the max of the guns capabilities in terms of shot weight.

Thanks Craig, I load all 7/8 oz using the Claybuster 1078 wad, Ill have to try some 3/4 oz and save a little lead, luckily there is no shortage of Cheerios to drop in the wad cup.

Harold , Claybuster makes a 3/4 wad for 12 that i have used for years and no adjustment is needed to the loader going from 7/8 to 3/4.
