Default Another ammo story

Accompanied the Good Wife to the local Wally World and while she was looking for whatever she was looking for I decided to see if on the off chance they had any shotgun ammo. Lo and behold, 4 box cartons of Federal target shells at 1200fps. $29 and change; I used to pay $24 and change so I figured the upkick wasn't too bad. Orphan Annie can eat those all day long, and they lock them up these days, so I rounded up some guy who was stocking wiper blades and drug him over.

"I'll take four of those," I sez. "I can give you two," says he. "People buy them up." "So it makes a difference to you if I buy them up or if somebody else buys them up?" I asked. "Well, some guys came in last night and I gave them two," he says. "Fine," I said. "I'll take two. And my wife will be over in a minute to buy her two." He looks at me, gives me a disgusted sigh, and says, "Well if you're gonna do that I'll just give you four." "Thanks," I said.

We have a small gun shop here outside of town looks like a run down gas station from the 70s doesnt get much traffic, well I went in there the other day and the owner had a whole bottom shelf full of cases of Remington 20 ga loads. Not sure what loads specifically they were or the price, my brother and I just go in there to check out the new in box vintage scopes he sells. Those old Japan built Tascos seem pretty decent for the price.

I'm seeing some target ammo around here but it's priced pretty stiff.

I picked up 10 flats of RIO's yesterday and had 10 more delivered by UPS. FedEx dropped off one flat of Winchester's the day before. All 12 gauge target loads. Not cheap but necessary. Buying three boxes a day from WalMart, when they have them in stock, is killing me. We'll see how long these last.

Phil, It’s like haggling at the bazaar in Istanbul!

I got two and my wife got two. Is that considerate enough for you?

Phil I never said you weren't considerate or did anything wrong.
