I shot two boxes of the new Peters shells through my VHE. Let me tell you: The smell is amazing!

I am ordering another flat.

I shot two boxes of the 7 1/2's at trap today. Used an old Ithaca SBT that had experienced chamber tightness with fired cheap steel base ammo. Checked these shells with a magnet--solid brass. No problems with extraction. May buy another flat if they still have them.

Boy, you guys are really hung up on the Peters name and a pretty box. Why not get hold of some Federal paper hulls and load them to whatever specs you want for $5.50 s box. And they smell just as good! Oh, I forgot, Parker guys are always a cut above!

i totally agree. I've got many vintage shells I've bought, and use in my vintage doubles. Just today I was measuring some vintage 16s I have on hand to see which I would feel comfortable using in the Parker 16 ga., with original chambers. I've shot them for years at doves. There's a strange satisfaction in taking a nice mess of doves with shells that are almost as old as the gun.

Time moves on and familiar clays shells are becoming available.

Spotted today in a station trash can while shooting at Rock Mountain. Expand pic if you can’t make out the price sticker.

That is steep. Especially for GC loads.

BTW, there were pretty many once fired Gun Club hulls in the hull buckets this week. Just sayin'.

I see GC's selling for $9.99 a box around here. Thinking 10 bucks will be the new price. Still mostly Italian hulls at Rochester Brooks but a few more GC's this week. Still not finding any 8ga industrial hulls LOL.
