looks like the gun and them old shell s done the trick...them old 1 1/4 ounce green shells were my favorite loads of yester year...yep if you shot a lot of them you could expect to need a aspirn or two...charlie

The REM’s weren’t bad recoilwise but the WIN things were noticeable and my god they spit out a lot of confetti looking stuff . These Winchester shells were the ones back in the 60’s Winchesters man in Africa David Omney I think his name was were shooting in the ads WIN put in the American Rifleman back then . If memory serves he was using the somewhat new shells in the somewhat new Winchester 1400. The picture with my gun was at the first peg , I shot three times there .
