That was a nice gun! The price it sold at was a great one! A collector would easily pay $1k more.

Rick: Belgian "Cast Steel" could have been several products. I did a composition analysis on one specimen and it was very low carbon non-standard AISI 1002 with a tensile strength less than Bessemer/Decarbonized steel.

The gunbroker Trojan sold for $1825. Not that much over the top. Nice gun with a couple of misaligned screws. Nice that it didn't have a pad which would have lowered the value by almost $1000. Condition and originality are everything.
