Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..
John D.

Barrel Length
Hi Eric,
Barrels are 32". I have shot it a few times, although I haven't had an opportunity recently due to a relocation. Thanks for the suggestion. I will look into this.
I've really been enjoying this forum. Looking around quite a bit. I have noticed a couple of things about my gun that seems to differ from what I'm seeing here. First is the top lever. Mine is straight, but it seems as though the fishtail lever is more common. Second, the rib on the barrel where Parker Bros. etc., is written, and where it should say "Laminated Steel", there is nothing. It simply says "Parker Bros Makers, Meriden Conn", and it is smooth. There are very fine engravings that seem to match the rest of the gun however.
All parts that break down have the same serial number, and everything else appears to be where it should be. should I be concerned?

Hi John,
I don't see any reason to be concerned. A lot of hammer guns have a straight lever. The fishtail is probably more unique. I've often wondered how many Parkers are lacking the barrel steel engraving on the rib. My Grade 1 with Dam-1 barrels has no barrel steel engraving on the rib, either. As Parker Bro did many things most of the time, the saying is never say never. It's what makes studying and collecting Parker guns so much fun.
