Yes. FWIW from my observations it appears that early in the Remington years they put the production date code near the back --

237149 08a T in circle barrel steel, KD K = May, D = 1935 yellow arrows.jpg

and later it is farther forward adjacent to the cocking hook. Perhaps the difference between Meriden and Ilion?
