Bernie, if I were you, I'd buy a Galco leather wrap on pad. Put it on when you shoot, remove it when you're done. I have 3 different make's of guns that are 13 3/4" LOP. I use a small Galco on all 3, and it gives me a 14 1/4" LOP. I'd try to remove the blue from the trigger plate. Looks generic, and don't cut the stock to add a pad. Use a Galco. Nice gun, will make a great shooter!

The 13 1/2 is at the front trigger.
I shot some clays today at Orvis and saw
a butt cover that looked like an option.
The trigger plate and the forearm hardware are heavy blued while in internal hardware have the original case color. I wonder how much returning to the case finish would lose what's left of the border engraving.
