I was not talking about your situation. I was talking about the OP’s. It sounded as if he took the action apart.
I lended my thoughts based on what the issue may be based on my experience in working on the guns.

Not that I dont believe you in what you are saying based on your experiences. I just dont have an explanation for it.

Thank you Brian that cocking hook was the problem!
All is well now except the broken plunger pin.
