Default Personal observations on the Parker 12 gauge "Boat Anchors"

I am now in phase two of helping my Internet-Free buddy.
The single trigger SSBP has found a new home. I have been scouring the Internet looking for the replacement with the specs my friend wants.
Same exact gun, only without the single trigger, and without the skeleton steel BP.
I am coming to believe that Parker "Boat Anchor" prices are based entirely on whether you are buying or selling.
Selling; Meh, pshaww, no way Jose. Nobody wants that gun, you're wayyyy overpriced, it's a "Boat Anchor", etc, etc.
Buying; Oh, no. Look at the condition. Why, just look at professional installation of the pad. Why, that pad surely must even increase the value!
I won't get into the numbers, but let's just say for my friend to get into the same gun, with a couple less features will cost substantially more than he sold for.
Okay, rant over. The lesson; Don't listen to the naysayers on 12 gauge values. Seems the good guns are still commanding the bucks!
