According to Nigel Brown's British Gunmakers, William Sumners was at 219 Oliver St, Birkenhead, Liverpool, from 1858-60, 48 Oldhall St. c. 1874--78, and 48 & 50 Old Hall st. c. 1883-90.
This very finely done side-plated A&D boxlock was nitro proofed in Birmingham between 1954 and 1989. It does have Anson's intercepting safety sears as well.
I'd shoot it with RST light loads, just for the comfort factor.
