If you dont want to refinish, then the only option is to live with it.

I agree with Brian, and I wouldn't loose any sleep thinking about it either. The scratch would barely impact the value.

Thank you for your replies. Now a second question. Is there any method that I can use to eliminate the bright spot where the previous owner tried to polish out the scratch? The patina on the barrels is a brownish hue and I would like to get that back. Has anyone tried the spot application of Hydrogen peroxide and vinegar? I use this mixture in gun parts cleaning but have not on Damascus. Thoughts?
