I lived through the Jimmy Carter years having just started working. Five years after starting work I made less than I did when I started, having gone through two layoffs. When we built our house had to cut the plans in half due to interest rates going from 6% to 11 1/2% when I finally got the loan (they eventually reached 14%). My wife and I drove her Vega GT with a case of oil in the back to add a quart each day when we got home (only held four). Will have had my wife like Todd for 45 this October and wish we had the Vega (put 375,000 on it). Would mike a nice street rod with a small block.

But we were blessed compared to what our parents went through during the depression.

Congratulations Todd!

Life threw us some pretty tough tests. Had two sons. Lost the first one to a crib death in 1976. Lost the second to a car crash in 2009.
We are blessed with grand children, and nieces and nephews.
Faith is essential!
