David,
These are great guns to shoot and hunt. Once the dent is removed and you find a forend and a good gunsmith checkes it out you should be good to go. Feeding these guns the proper ammunition is not a problem. http://www.rstshells.com/store/p/9-1...Load-Case.aspx These are the shells I would recommend. They are the easy on the gun both in recoiled pressure plus they are death itself.
