Uh, oh, a divergence into what is a double(). Wouldn't a double include shooting two birds, simultaneously, in the air...with intent (in other words, either with one or two shots, but knowing that's what the shooter is trying to do)? I've shot two (and even three) quail on the covey rise with one shot, but for me a double is when I shoot two that I've aimed (pointed) at and intended to shoot. I've had three doubles on turkeys, but never by intention (congratulations to Dean!! ) -- always dumb luck on my part (which, now that I think of it, constitutes most of my successful shots!)

But, hey, two at a time, on the ground or in the air, is an achievement worth recognition.
