Rest assured, Austin's reply to your question is factual. Parker No.'s 54486, 54487, 54488, & 54489 were Grade 2 14 ga. pistol grip guns. 54486 and 54487 had 28" barrels and 54488 and 54489 had 30" barrels but all four were 14 gauge according to the records.

Interesting dilemma. If you were to take 12 and 16 gauge shells to the gun, and neither fill properly, demonstrating that is a 14 how would the seller react - raise or lower his price. My bet is he would raise it. Would there be any idintifiying marks on the watertable/barrel flats?
