We tried Krylon clear coat on a couple of aluminum fishing reels.
It eventually flaked; and we just lived with how it looked, not knowing what damage might be done by applying chemicals to remove the remaining coating.
I have been advised by an experienced Parker owner just to use Rem Oil, too.
