Here at our house we solved this problem by not having a full time live-in house women. The only drawback to this scheme is that Danny usually open,s the gun box's first and promptly assembles the gun. What follow's after that is usually "Hey Dad that new Parker fit's me pretty good" and I say"Great.... that's just great" I lose more good gun's that way.....

When the 401s and the 457s went down the tubes, the shotguns went down a bit slower, at least the Parkers did. I have never gone to a "stock site" on the internet or a "stock show" on a Saturday afternoon and bought common stock for sixty cents on the dollar.

The only time I've had a conversation with my wife over buying a gun was when I wanted (and purchased) a high condition DHE 20 with all the options, SST, VR, BTF straight stock. I needed her consent because she needed to sigh the home equity loan for the purchase

The second safe was explained, one is for rifles the other for shotguns they don't mix well
