these old trucks are really great looking but if you were ahot rodder the transmissions were a little weak..i had a 1953 with a 261 chevy truck engine in it...i tore 5 transmissions out of that thing in 5 weekends the transmo would last about 5 minutes with a good burnout shift from low to secound and you could count the tranny goodbye...charlie
