Actually Kenny, according to Jack Skeuse, there were 2,137 12-ga. Repros built...how many of these have DT's and a PG is probably unknown--but they are out there and you"ll eventually find one. Happy hunting!

Years ago I had an SSS with a pistol grip and BT that I had a hard time shooting well, due to excessive drop at the comb. Even after I had it bent up (which also changed the pitch, of course) I didn't like it. About a year ago I found a 12 ga (from James Wayne) with straight stock, splinter forend, DT and 28" IC/Mod 3" chambered barrels. It is now my duck gun and it has much better dimensions (for me), and I shoot it much better

Who is the NSFL?...does it add to the mystique of the gun?

NSFL is the acronym for National Sporting Fraternity Limited. There were one hundred repro's special made for the NSFL. They came in different configurations and gauges, but were all maked on the barrels National Sporting Fraternity Limited,& had their logo silk screened on the initial shield and were serial numbered 1 through 100 in the series.
I owned NSFL 28-4 for awhile. It was a really nice 28ga two barrel set, but it had the 14 3/4" LOP and I couldn't shoot it worth a darn, so it moved on to a new owner. Now I wish I had it back! These are some of the one-off Repro's that might make them a little more collectable in the future. Here's link for some insight on the NSFL: https://www.trophyroombooks.com/amwell_about.htm |
