I picked up a couple of vintage duck hunting photos, and was able to identify a couple of Parkers one being a hammerless, must have been one of the first made. Craig

Boy, that looks like fun. I hardly ever see hunters anymore "roughing it". The smell of wood smoke, jokes told, good food over a fire, friends and some amber liquid....... memories I would like to have had.

The dog appears to be an American Water Spaniel. The bottom picture the gentleman 2nd from the left appears to have a Parker with a gold grip cap????

Craig, what do you think that the fellow in the second picture top row right is holding. I tried to enlarge the image and it kind of looks like a very short barreled small bore double?
Is the photo too early for a .44XL or 40-85 ?

IMHO - its a 10 or 12 single barrel with a slight reflection, if you look at the shadow under his hat bill and the sunlight on the the other barrels and actions in the pictures, the shading on a couple faces and sides of legs, as well as the faint shadow of the branches on the tent (especially in the first picture) - I think the sun was above and to the left of the photographer, just right to reflect back at the lens


they are both great pictures, nice find
