I have no idea how many acres the Queen of England has, but her husband, Prince Phillip, undertook the task of organizing land owners. He persuaded them to set aside acerage for game preservation. As I remember this information was in The Field, a wonderful magazine, years and years ago. Through coordination there is a continuous run of land for game. Though unrelated it reminds me of the French Alps and their 200 miles of interconnecting ski slopes.
