In looking at Linux versions - I've also been partial to Ubuntu, so -- went in that direction on programming/transitioning this upgrade... You also asked some GREAT questions about migrating from MySQL - PHP - vB, and I'd like to say "yes" - but, no, in fact, MariaDB wasn't around in their canned upgrade scripts - so, much of it had to be imported by hand (table by table in some cases)……”—John D.
