I used my new 28 gauge that is supposed to be mod and full this weekend and it did surprisingly well. The misses were all my fault and not the gun.

You just never know how a particular gun will perform. My experience, at least

I used my Fox A 16 28" IC/M to take a quail Sunday at a preserve hunt over Kenny Graft's
Gordon, Ruby.

One of my favorite guail and grouse guns is a 20 bore GH, shipped in 1903 to South Carolina. With cylinder (a few points of constriction) and modified 26" barrels, it was obviously purchased for quail hunting.

Oh, I was suppose to be looking at the gun..... Beautiful setter, yes the gun is nice but the setter was what caught my eye

Tom, my GH began as a 20 and was shipped to Virginia in 1903 as well. I bet it was a quail gun too
