Dan, I'll share my experience, but I would recommend you try on a small area first as others have recommended. I had bought a 10 gauge TA hammer gun about a year ago and the barrels looked cold blued to me and also had some corrosion on top of that finish as well.
I used a combination of the the products below. I would use the biodegrade cleaner that I assumed was citrus based and then Hoppes #9 and alternated using a frontier pad. I wish I took more before and after pics though I included what I had so you can see. I was happy with the results and put some carnauba wax on the barrels when I was done.
Given what they looked like when I bought the gun I felt this was an improvement. Others may have better suggestions or cautions, but I thought I would share.
As a side note, this was the gun I used to go tundra swan hunting in NC a week and half ago.
