Very nice work Steve. A great story and real tribute to your Dad. It will be nice to hear about her chasing the birds.

Your walnut reminds me of a piece of black cherry I had cut on "Dutch Mountain" a place of some significance nearby here by a logger friend who was a contractor at the pulp and paper mill where I worked, and I had it sawn for gunstocks in 1988. I made some muzzleloader stocks from it a while back and had forgotten about a 12 ft long board that's been behind some other stuff in my garage since then. Now I have this thought to get a Fox stocked in cherry and just might do that on one that’s in queue with a stocker.
