Back in the day, folks weren't fully convinced of these little guns and their tiny payloads, 3/4 and 7/8 for the 20-gauge and 5/8 for the 28-gauge, and hence full chokes were thought necessary. My started into production in September 1930 and shipped Armistice Day 1930, 0-frame 26-inch 20-gauge chambered for 2 1/2 inch shells has .022" right and .028" left. Ron's letter on my gun doesn't state where or to whom it was shipped.
I know in my years of searching out smallbore Remington Model 31 pumps, finding anything but a full choke is tough.
