Harry,
Thank you for your reply! The new hook has spring and plunger and moves freely. Its travel should be sufficient to catch the crank but it does not. I will check for tolerances when I have time. Its width may need adjusting. If I can't ID the exact cause of problem I will take the gun apart and then I'll see what is hanging up. Bob Jurewicz |

Does the new hook mirror the old hook? It is very close tolerances.

I did not have the whole original hook so I copied one from another gun.

The cocking hook is, to my knowledge, a hand fitted piece to each Parker. I have found extra sets of barrels and before I try them on a frame I remove the cocking hook. Otherwise the barrels will not come off the gun and I must remove the bottom plate to disengage the cocking lever. I wish I knew the trick to fitting the two. Maybe someone else can explain it.
