Been cruising gun boards for 20+ years and I have never had an opportunity to buy a V-28 for a fair, let along great price.

How do you define "fair" or "great price"? Small bore guns in good condition always bring big money no matter if it's a Parker, Winchester, or Fox. Years ago I lusted for a VHE 410 skeet gun and would have paid the price of a new car for one. I found a CSM Fox FE for a lot less. Not a collector gun but still a very nice gun.
