Default Serialization book wrong?

Just came across a Parker that the book lists as a D, w/30" barrels. Gun is marked as a G, which it clearly is, and has 28" barrels.

Anyone else run across this before?

I have a grade 4 lifter that lists as a grade 1 in the book. Mistakes do happen. The proof is in the gun.

There are countless errors in the serialization book.

Better you should buy a Research Letter on your guns.

I have ordered letters on guns I was thinking of buying.

Pretty cheap insurance!

Smart move - quick & sure way to expose questionable barrel/frame/gauge 'alchemy'. The early to mid- 28 gauge guns are the most suspect offenders.
