one thing about 3 1/2 inch doubles the frame is larger and very bulky to me where as a 2 7/8 gun handles a lot better than the magnum guns...but i to like the magnum 10 i ve wanted a ithaca 10 for a long time but always out of my pocketbook....i have a old parker gun with twist barrels that has 3 1/2 inch chambersprobly not factory but it shoots wellgun weighs 12 lbs...i have a ithaca 3 1/2 inch automatic that shoots a lot better pattern than all my other 10 ga s..jerry i took a thick barrel stevens 12 ga and made it into 3 1/2 chambers have killed a few turkeys with it when i could walk a long ways i carried this gun...let us know if you rechambered the gun....charlie
