I sent an email to Charlie's good wife today and she got right back to me. I told her that everybody has been worried and praying for his good health.

This is what she wrote back to me.

.Thank you all for wanting know to about Charlie. Charlie is doing much better and our plans are to go home today. He is so worried about his hunting, one doctor says "no" the other one, a hunter, said "sure, you can use a 22." He gave me a scare but the doctors with the help of the Lord has taken good care of him. I have thanked God every day he is still here. This had been going on for three weeks and he never did he say a word except "I'm tired." He is okay now. I'm sure one day this week you all will hear from him.

Thanks Dean for e-mailing. I had called his home number all morning but had no answer. That made me think the worst but am glad to know the situation. Maybe they will up the .22 to a .410 as being OK. Then he can still get squirrels and a deer or two with slugs.

Thanks for the update Dean. I was getting concerned since he hasn't signed on in two weeks according to his profile.

I bet all the replies to this thread will lift his spirits when he comes home.
