John, your gun has a nice configuration and appears to be tight on face and mechanically sound. When the talk turns to value other factors come in to play such as original metal finish and wood condition. Your pictures are a bit dark so it is difficult to tell for sure, but it appears the frame of the gun is an even dark color. This could be the result of someone bluing the receiver in the past or it could be covered with a even layer of dark patina. The original finish of the receiver would have looked very much like the metal on the underside of the forearm iron. It also appears that there are some areas of splintering of the wood around the frame and tang. What is the condition of the bores? Bright, no pitting? Little things like these will factor into the value. Better pictures in better lighting would help us to give you a better approximation of value. Rest assured, your gun still has value but that value is determined by the condition and originality of the gun.
