glad you got her fixed william...if the trip had been wore you can peen or rather hammer the trip and stretch the metal and it will work again for years..i did a top lever hammer 8 ga this way and it will hold the hammer back till the trigger is pulled even if you fire the other barrel first and it cocked back..but i did not have a shell in the barrel that was giving trouble...but would not be afraid too...charlie
