I have had good luck buying a few guns off gunbroker. Make sure you get good clear pictures of everything you might want to see and make certain all your questions are answered. If the gun is as it is described and/or the person is a straight shooter a three day inspection shouldn't be out of the question. There is alway some risk in sending a stranger a check, but it may be a risk your willing to take. Hope it was some help.

Parkers are always going to command a high price. If you see a Parker on Gun Broker that seems to good contact a PGCA member for an opinion. They should be able to enlighten you on why no one is bidding on such a "great buy"!
That stated, I've noticed many VH's that seem like fair deals. The GH's listed are not too bad but DH and higher seem to start out high and receive no bids. |

I've also seen many desirable DH and DHE guns for sale too and I think the lack of bids has less to do with people's perception of value/price than with the current state of our economy.
That's the weirdest thing... I had typed value then a colon and the word price and the program assumed I meant (stick tongue out) instead of value  rice.... oops, there it goes again.

I don't know if it would help me and I don't want to have to find out but when I have used Gunbroker to make a purchase I have sent payment in the form of Postal Money Order and mailed payment via USPS certified return reciept. I was told by doing this I had a very clear cut case of mail fraud if the seller did not follow through and I could get the USPS involved if needed.

Some dealers and private parties now use pay pal. It is another mechanism to use if you have a dispute about the merchandise.

I doubt pay pal would be any help as it is against their policy to be used for firearm purchases.

Be careful with paypal. I bought a 12 ga. reproduction off gunbroker and paid using paypal, they suspended the sellers account for six months!!! He was unable to withdraw the money or use it conduct any further business during that period.

You can use PayPal to pay for guns or ammo without any problems. You've just got to avoid mentioning what the transfer is for in the memo box. That's how folks get into trouble.
