I have used RST spreader loads for quail over my dogs in my 28, 20, and 12 gauge with excellent results. I would have to agree with Jeff. My results have been a minimum of one choke increment. I have a Model 21 20 gauge I used some last year that is choked full and Modified, and shooting #9 over the dogs for Mearns quail I could not have asked for better performance. I had used some AA's the prior year, and the gun was so tight when I did connect it was not pretty. Give the spreader loads a try you will be pleased I am sure with the results.

I used some RST spreader loads in a 20ga Boss hammer gun that's choked F/F on a tight five stand course recently. The spreader loads were wonderful and still crushed the targets with authority. I will agree that they open the choke about one increment, F to M, M to IC etc.
