I don't know where they are hunting, but he is from a part of Texas that has good wild quail populations, so I would be surprised if they were hunting pen birds.

Yes, Colt does live (or at least is from) an area where there are good numbers of wild birds although the video is from 2013. He is the guy with glasses who says "that was cool". I have young birds of the year do some dumb things....
