Dean, I was always told that any bird dog worth its kibble would point any turtle it came across. All my dogs will point box turtles very intensely. My dearly beloved old setter Speck was not only hell on grouse, but she was the damdest possum dog you ever saw. Whenever the weather would warm up in the winter, you would think she was working a running bird, but it would turn out to be a possum. Now, a possum over point is not a difficult target, but I am still debating over the best shot size/choke combo for them.
Probably should use a Fox on them--a Fox gets the game.
