Fair question, Counselor. When we formulated the rules for the FPC we figured it was best to utilize the "KISS" method and mimic the guidelines already in place for the Smith/Parker event. So that begs the question, why are they prohibited from that contest? (Maybe that's what you're asking?) Is it the fact they are not a direct descendant from the Meriden/Ilion guns in serialization, unlike the CSMC Foxes? Perhaps a failure to meet "Made in USA" requirements or is there an age limit, i.e. guns must be pre-1942 (or whatever) production??? I can certainly understand that, based on the fact The Challenge was conceived as a vintage shooting contest. Please enlighten me, Great One.

I had no idea Dean was a Counselor although he does offer a sympathetic ear to our questions- or is that a Counselor at Law in which case I wanna see proof.
But really---- who cares? The "wild men" hammer boys shoot custom steel barreled space age weapons, there are many other re-built Parkers on the course with post 1942 innards and accessories. Some guns have barrels from other guns, or fore- ends or Butt stocks or have been re-stocked, etc.
I know I don't care.
