Dean no doubt the gun was built for 40 yards and longer. I only use spreaders for close clay targets. We have one clays course nearby that throws all short targets, even if long they curl making short shot the best one. Hot shot modern gun shooters use skeet chokes at that place.

I avoid it preferring courses with long targets, however when you have a 20 yard bird, and choked tight, spreader is a good thing to have .

Shoot skeet at Piedmont and Horseshoe . Sporting is where ever , but usually it's at Central Va . If I wanna shoot a 10 then the Flying Rabbit is the place to go .
