Will, congratulations if you got that gun---and I have its twin. I would have thought it would bring a good bit more. The "book" also states that mine is a CPG, but has a straight grip. WE took the trigger guard off mine, and it is an original st. grip guard and the ser # is stamped in the wood under the guard also. Factory letter says CPG, but also says the gun was returned for service in 1910 and the stock was "redressed". Barrels are 26" cyl/mod, and the LOP is 13 7/8 to the skeleton butt plate, thus the slip on pad. Many knowledgeable people have gone over my gun and say that the stock is definitely Parker original and an original trigger guard, with the proper ser # on the back side.
Is that an O frame? Yours looks like a great gun.

To answer a poster's question, the gun did not sell because it was pulled after only a day. People usually don't bid the first day unless they want to use buy it now. Great gun, Will. This guy was a gun trader on the East Coast many years ago, used to attend Harrisburg gun shows, had great Winchester shotguns. His tables were close to Doug Turnbull's Dad.
