In looking at the records I believe you mean 55296 was the first. Being that there a hundred or so missing numbers before that number, there could be on earlier, but that is what the "book" says. As a sidebar, I have number 56186 in my parts bin. It is a 1 frame hammerless GH 12g. It is not in the book, but based on what is, it would have been between the 40th and 50th hammerless gun built.
