Boone & Crockett Jackrabbit ?
In 2007 my son-in-law and I took my grandson hunting for the first time, he shot this jackrabbit while we were looking for quail. Later that evening as we were sitting down for dinner, Thanksgiving at that, he said, "I think that was a Boone and Crockett jackrabbit, don't you grandpa"?
I had to agree, it certainly was a trophy in my book.
I had given him the little 20 gauge the year before and he was finally big enough to carry and hunt with it. Warms my heart to think of it now.
