Ok, I have a bit more information after talking to the owner again. He was unable to remove the barrels but after talking him through the process of getting some lube on the hook he successfully removed them. All of the serial numbers match, it is a grade 3, 3 frame size, with 32 inch damascus barrels that sound uncut as the blank space is present, and he says the bores are clean with no pitting.

So, I'm a bit closer to making the drive to look at this gun. Being the neophyte that I am, I have no idea what this gun may be worth. Would any of you care to offer an estimate for a middle of the condition range D grade 10 with uncut barrels.

Have him reread the serial number from the water table. Trigger guard readings are not reliable. $1000 to $4000.
